Lions and Lambs Lead Teacher Position (3-Year-Old Classroom)
Type: Part-time | Schedule: Tuesday-Friday (Mondays as needed), 8:30am-12:30pm

Purpose of Ministry: Provide children and families with a preschool experience that nurtures and equips physical, intellectual, social, and spiritual growth. Partner with families in the Christian formation of children.
Description: The role of the Preschool teacher is to plan and to conduct a developmentally appropriate, faith-shaping nine month preschool program that serves children ages three through five years.

Description: The role of the Preschool teacher is to plan and to conduct a developmentally appropriate, faith-shaping nine month preschool program that serves children ages three through five years.
The Preschool Teacher will:
- Follow established written standards regarding educational philosophy, goals, policies, procedures, staffing, and parent involvement as stated in the Parent Handbook and Community Covenant Children’s Ministries policies and procedures.
- Provide developmentally appropriate preschool experiences tailored to individual children as well as to each unique preschool group in a given ministry year.
- Interact with families via weekly or monthly class newsletters and mid-year/end-of-year conferences to celebrate the development of each child.
- Consult promptly with the Lions & Lambs Preschool Director regarding possible developmental delays or special needs observed in the preschool setting or communicated via family members.
- Work alongside the Lions & Lambs Preschool Director to equip and to mentor the Preschool Assistant, intentionally developing the assistant toward shared leadership.
- Work alongside the preschool director to purchase supplies and equipment.
- Take responsibility for daily record-keeping including sign-in sheets and injury reports.
- Oversee alongside the school director day-to-day operations of the school including curriculum planning, emergencies, weather closures, field trips, etc.

Length of Service:
- This hourly paid position has a commitment of one program year, mid-August through May.
Anything beyond the one program year requires a person to re-apply for the position.
Amount of time/Frequency:
- Up to 18 hours per school week. There will be one assistant assigned to the 3-year-old classroom.
These classes meet Tuesday through Friday of each week.
Qualifications
Have at least a high school diploma.

- Have received Jesus Christ as your personal Savior.
- Believe the Bible is God’s word and standard for daily living.
- Be a Christian role model to other team members, parents and students.
