Kinder-Ready Teacher's Aide Position
Type: Part-time | Schedule: Tuesday-Friday (Mondays as needed), 8:30am-2:30pm | Pay Range: $21/hour
Purpose of Ministry: To assist in providing children and families with a preschool experience that nurtures/equips physical, intellectual, social, and spiritual growth.
Position Description: The role of the Preschool/Kinder-Ready Assistant is to support the teacher in conducting a nine month preschool program that serves children ages three through five years of age.
The Preschool/Kinder-Ready Assistant will:
Accountability: Lead Teacher, Lions and Lambs Preschool Director
Length of Service: This hourly paid position has a commitment of one program year, mid-August through May. Anything beyond the one program year requires a person to re-apply for the position.
Amount of Time/Frequency: Up to 18 hours per school week for the Preschool classroom. Up to 26 hours per school week for the Kinder-Ready classroom. There will be one assistant assigned to the 3 year olds classroom and one assistant assigned to the Kinder-Ready classroom. These classes meet Tuesday through Friday of each week.
Qualifications
Have at least a high school diploma.

The Preschool/Kinder-Ready Assistant will:
- Follow established written standards regarding educational philosophy, program goals, policies/procedures, staff handbook, and Community Covenant Children’s Ministries Policies.
- Interact with preschoolers throughout the school day, supporting learning experiences, guiding growth in ministry focus areas, and maintaining a safe learning environment.
- Assist the classroom teacher to carry out, and assess classroom routines and lessons.
- Work under the guidance of the teacher to clean and prepare the classroom environment for each school day.
- Utilize provided substitute list to schedule a substitute for oneself should an absence from work be needed.
- Participate in team planning meetings.
