Thanksgiving Blessing: Green Beans What would fall at Community Covenant be without a green bean drive? As part of the Food Bank of Alaska's Thanksgiving Blessing program we are continuing our annual tradition of being the Green Bean Church! Our aim is to collect 500 cans of green beans, which will go into Thanksgiving dinner kits for local families who need a bit of help as we enter the holiday season. Drop off your cans in the entryway by Sunday November 13. We will have a green bean meter next to the drop-off location so we can see our progress.
Christmas
Angel Tree Give the gift of connecting a family this Christmas. Prison Fellowship's Angel Tree program helps incarcerated parents provide a gifts to their children, reminding them that they are loved and not forgotten during a challenging time of year. Angels will be available to take home on Sunday, November 13, with unwrapped gifts due back to church by December 11. Gifts should be in the range of $25-$30. We will also be collecting donations to ensure that each child receives an age-appropriate Bible along with their gift, and that each family receives a Christmas cookie baking kit to bake together. Help will also be needed with wrapping gifts on December 17 and gift delivery during the following week. Contact Sarah if you are interested in either opportunity. Christmas Eve Services
