Why Phoebe?
The project is named after Phoebe, a faithful servant of the church whom Paul commended as a great support to many. Her example reflects the spirit of this project: faithful people using their gifts, accepting meaningful responsibility, and partnering in the mission of the church.

Program Vision
The Phoebe Project is a one-year ministry pathway for people who want to serve the church in a deeper and more intentional way. Phoebe Partners are entrusted with meaningful ministry responsibility while receiving spiritual formation, encouragement, coaching, and opportunities to grow in their calling and ministry skills.

Who Is It For?
The Phoebe Project is for men and women across generations—older students and adults, emerging leaders and seasoned servants. Participants do not need a formal ministry background. What matters is readiness for a deeper season of service, growth, and partnership in the mission of the church.

More Than Volunteering
The Phoebe Project is for people who are ready for a deeper season of service, growth, and ministry partnership. Phoebe Partners serve in a defined ministry role while being discipled, encouraged, and developed. The goal is to cultivate faithful, mature, and engaged followers of Jesus who are growing in character, calling, ministry skill, and love for the body of Christ.

A Mutual Commitment
Phoebe Partners serve consistently in a defined ministry role for one year. As participants commit to serve faithfully, the church commits to invest intentionally in them through spiritual formation, prayer, encouragement, coaching, and development. Together, we want this to be a season where both the participant and the church are strengthened.

The Commitment
Phoebe Partners can expect to serve approximately five to ten hours per week, depending on their ministry track and particular role.

A typical rhythm may include:
  • A consistent weekly ministry assignment
  • A regular formation gathering or coaching conversation with a supervising staff member
  • Occasional training, preparation, special events, or seasonal ministry responsibilities responsibilities
