Hiland Correctional Facility
We are seeking to partner with Alaska Correctional Ministries in serving women at Hiland Correctional Facility through classes and mentoring opportunities. We are also seeking ways to simply love them through special gifts during the holidays.
Eagle River Elementary School
We are simply trying to find ways to demonstrate love to this nearby school on a regular basis whether it be building shelves, helping teachers prepare materials, or partnering with them to provide parenting classes for some of their families.
Love INC (Love in the Name of Christ)
Community Covenant Church is one partner in a network of caring churches in the Eagle River and Chugiak area who are united in their desire to help people in need in our community. You can serve by working at the call center or by making yourself available to meet specific needs of individuals and families (transportation, snow removal, home/car repairs, etc). See the Love INC page for more information.
Mothers of Preschoolers(MOPS)
MOPS is for all mothers with children from birth to kindergarten. The purpose of MOPS is to nurture every mother of preschoolers to the glory of Jesus Christ. Serve by helping provide childcare, helping with food and hospitality, or serving on the leadership team.
Cadence International
We support a local ministry to military personnel called Cadence International led by Dan Evans.
Health Fair ~ April 21, 2012
Each year we hold a free health fair to provide a variety of health services and information to the people of Eagle River/Chugiak community. We have many health providers who volunteer their time to provide free sports and back to school physicals for children to age 18. We also work in conjunction with Alaska Health Fair to provide a wide variety of screenings for adults. This health fair has been very successful and has reached people as far as South Anchorage and Willow.
Neighborhood Gift ~ December 20, 2011
Neighborhood Gift is a program that was started by the Food Bank of Alaska, The Salvation Army, United Way of Anchorage, and the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots. These organizations partner with the faith community to easily distribute holiday meals for families and individuals as well as gifts for children to age 12.
