MOPS Guidelines & Fee Information
2007-2008
- Meetings. MOPS of Community Covenant Church will meet one Friday each month from 9:15-11:45. Reservations should be confirmed one week prior to each meeting in order to plan for crafts and childcare as well as to accommodate moms and MOPPETS on the waiting list. Please RSVP at the MOPS of CCC website or call Marla Gates at 622-8595.
- Meeting Cancellation. If the Anchorage School District cancels classes due to inclement weather, we will also cancel our MOPS meeting. Please watch your email or voicemail for details of a rescheduled date to make up the cancelled meeting.
- Arrival. MOPPETS teachers will be available to greet children from 9:15-9:30. Please allow the teachers to prepare the classrooms for the children by arriving during this time.
- Children at MOPS Meetings. The MOPPETS program was created to enable mothers to participate in MOPS meetings without the distractions (however,
wonderful) of having children present. Although special circumstances sometimes exist, children (other than infants while they are feeding) are discouraged from being in MOPS meetings.
- Membership fees. Membership fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- MOPS 2 Mom Connection: $20.00 per year
MOPS of CCC pays this fee directly to MOPS International
- Semester fee: $20.00 per semester (September & January)
These dues help pay for childcare, crafts, speakers etc.
- Scholarships are available through the Finance Team Leader.
- Teams: Each MOPS member will have the opportunity to be part of a team to help facilitate meetings: Creative Activities, Discussion Group Leaders, Hospitality, MOPPETS or Publicity. Enthusiastic and active teams are crucial to the success of the MOPS and MOPPETS programs.
- Confidentiality: We hope that MOPS meetings provide an opportunity for each of us to share our thoughts and experiences in a supportive and trusting environment. Any personal information shared at meetings should be deemed confidential and should not be disclosed outside of meetings.
